Bath Community Ambulance Service
Since January 2005, the Bath Community Ambulance Service has been
available to transport patients to and from other health care facilities
in the region.
Trained emergency medical personnel are available 24 hours a day with
two ambulances licensed for both basic life support for minor injuries
and advanced life support for more serious conditions. The service
is also available to pick up patients from other facilities to bring
them back to Bath Community Hospital. This new service is not a replacement
for local EMS Services.
The Bath Community Ambulance Service would not be possible without
the support of the community. Through the efforts of the Bath Community
Hospital Foundation, over $70,000 was raised toward the $125,000 required
to establish the service, which includes two ambulances, a cardiac
monitor, stretchers and insurance. Bath Community Hospital also received
a 50/50 matching grant from the Rescue Squad Assistance Fund.
