Cardiac rehabilitation is a customized program of exercise and education directed by a staff physician and supervised by an ACLS certified professional. Your doctors may recommend joining a cardiac rehab program to help you return to better health when you've had a heart attack or if you have other heart conditions. The goals of cardiac rehabilitation are to help you regain strength, to prevent your condition from worsening, and to reduce your risk of future heart problems.
A patient program includes stress testing/assessment, a prescribed module of exercises to build strength and endurance, and nutrition education. Our rehabilitation team includes a staff physician, a cardiac therapist, a registered nurse, a pharmacist, and a dietician.
